Voice
Since 2001 when Ryan was born, he has known he loved to sing. He has performed on the stage since preschool. Started taking voice lessons in 4th grade at the Leopold School and continued all the way through 12th grade before he started attending The University of Alabama-Birmingham. He has had the pleasure of learning Estill from Valerie Accetta and is working towards his Estill certification. Ryan assistant musical directed multiple shows at UAB because of his love for voice and Estill.
Ryan J. Charest was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. He would travel a lot at a younger age visiting his family in Jacksonville, FL and in the New Hampshire area. At a very young age his parents pushed him to try as many things as possible. He played almost every sport of a couple of years before starting to fall in love with theatre. He attended St. Mary's Episcopal Day School where he took part in the Christmas musical. He then also auditioned to be apart of the spring musicals from 3-6 grade. This is when he realized he would want to do this for the rest of his life. Once he got to high school, it all started to change. He was taking part in everything possible and enjoying it. He then decided to continue his growth and education while pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at The University of Alabama-Birmingham. He was thrilled to attend UAB and can not wait for the next step in his journey.
